WILKINSON, Patricia – of Davison, MI age 89, passed away on May 30, 2023. A Funeral Service will be held 10:30 AM Friday, June 2, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 PM Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Allen Funeral Home. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Outreach East or the charity of your choice.
Patricia was born in Brown City, MI on July 1, 1933, daughter of the late Lloyd and Mavis (Fisher) Coulter. Pat grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated in 1951 from Flint Central High School, where she met many lifelong friends. A group of them met monthly for lunch until the past few years. Pat then attended nursing school at Nazareth College of Nursing St Joseph Unit where she made more lifelong friends. Pat graduated with her RN in August 1955. She married the love of her life, Harlan Wilkinson on August 27, 1955, which was her last day of nurses training. Pat then worked at St. Joseph Hospital in Flint between having her three children. She retired in 1989 and was often asked for her medical advice well into her 70s.
Pat loved spending time with her children and grandchildren so much, as each one came along. Pat and Harlan spent many summers at Brown's Landing in Tawas. They enjoyed their time there and made a lot of good friends. Pat also enjoyed working in her garden and flower beds for many years.
Pat was a friend to everyone and a listening ear for anyone that needed to talk. She was a loving, kind, and caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all.
Pat is survived by her children, Greg (Kathy) Wilkinson of Davison, Linda Briggs of Davison, and Randy (Kathy) Wilkinson of Lapeer; grandchildren, Melissa Dowland, Tony Wilkinson, Alicia Calvin, Tara Montgomery, Chris Briggs, Jessica Miller, Sara Ruiz, and Alexis Wilkinson; 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many loving friends.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and grandson Brandon Holland.
The family would like to thank the staff and caregivers of Charter Senior Living, who loved and cared for our mother during the last six years. We truly appreciate you.
