CARDENAS, Phyllis Jean – of Flint, age 77, passed away June 6, 2019 at Ascension Genesys Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 8, 2019 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2 – 8 PM Friday at Allen Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the Funeral Service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesee County Humane Society or American Lung Association.
Phyllis was born in Denton, Missouri on November 24, 1941, daughter of the late Fernander and Lela King. She married in 1959. Phyllis was a loving mother who dedicated her life to taking care of her family.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Jeffrey Cardenas; daughter, Terri Cardenas; nieces, Denise Crystal and Shelley Meibeyer. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Cardenas and sister, Doris Meadows.
