OGDEN, Ernest F. – of Clio, age 81, died Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Avista of Saginaw. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Friday, February 19, 2021 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Dan Shinabarger officiating. Burial in Thetford Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 1:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation.
Ernest was born May 5, 1939 in Flint, Michigan to the late Fleetwood and Esther (Anderson) Ogden. He attended from Clio High School. Ernest married Sharon Kaye Doyle on October 18, 1958. She preceded him in death December 30, 2020. He was a custom painter by trade and owned and operated Fleetwood Painting Co. for many years before retiring. Ernest was a member of the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA). He enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles, woodworking, painting, football, and NASCAR.
Surviving are: Daughters: Shelli (Jerry) Dowland, Stacy Ogden, and Darci (Rich) Nader; Grandchildren: Jered (Ashley) Dowland, Danielle Dowland, Derek (Krystal) Buckel, Lindsey (Mike) LaMar; 9 great grandchildren; Sister in law, Connie (Mike) Hall; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Josie. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife, Sharon Ogden; Father and Mother in law, Edison (Isabelle) Doyle; Sister, Dorothy (Walt) Coates; Brother, Wayne Caruth.
