Gladys A. Plambeck, 86, of Davenport, died Friday, January 07, 2011 at the Davenport Lutheran Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 10:00 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 pm at the mortuary.Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Davenport Lutheran Home or Scott County Humane Society. Gladys was born September 27, 1924 in Scott County, IA, the daughter of Hugo and Irene (Schneckloth) Sievers. She was united in marriage to Allen Plambeck on February 3, 1945 in Davenport. Prior to her marriage, Gladys worked at Crescent Macaroni. She loved playing cards and camping. She had been active with the Scott County Extension Service.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Allen, Davenport, sons: Jim (Sally) Plambeck, Davenport, John (Judy) Plambeck, Madison, WI, daughter, Judy (Al) Papesh, Tipton, IA; grandchildren: William Plambeck, Joseph (Natasha) Plambeck, Peter Plambeck, Jennifer (Erik) Goode, Adam (Melissa) Papesh, Erica (John) Randolph and Jeff (Mary Rose) Plambeck; seven great grandchildren and one more on the way and her brother, Glen (Norma) Sievers, Stockton, IA. Her parents, daughter, Joyce Plambeck and a sister, Helen Sievers preceded her in death.
