JACOT, Richard D. - of Clio, age 89, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Living Waters Buell Lake Assisted Living in Clio. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held.
Richard was born on September 2, 1937, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Keith and Neva (McInally) Jacot. He graduated from Kearsley High School with the class of 1955, later completed the General Motors Skilled Trades program, and proudly served in the U.S. Naval Reserve. On February 21, 1984, Richard married his beloved, Naomi. They shared 40 wonderful years of love and companionship until her passing on August 10, 2024. Richard retired from General Motors - A.C. as a machine repairman after 40 years of dedicated service. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, feeding and watching the birds and other wildlife, and spending Saturdays watching college football. Above all, Richard treasured the time he spent with his "beautiful bride" Naomi, especially their trips in the RV and days spent boating in Oscoda, simply enjoying life together.
Surviving are: Daughters: Terrie (Rick) Richardson, Julie Jacot (Fiance Paul), Peggy (Carl) Sheffer, Sandy (Dave) Jacot-Wood, and Shelly (Rob) Owen; Stepson, Edward (Shelly) Cross; 11 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and one on the way; Brother, James (Bobbie) Jacot. Richard was also preceded in death by his brothers: Robert and Donald, and sister, Joanne. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Living Waters and Swan Hospice for the kindness, compassion, and exceptional care they provided to Richard.
