DOWLAND, Eric D. - Of Mt. Morris, age 36, died Tuesday, October 18, 2016.
Visitation 2-8pm Sunday and 11am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held 3pm Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor David Rodgers officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Eric was born in Flint on June 7, 1980 and was a resident of the Flint area all his life. On August 29, 2010, he married Katie L. Kelly. Eric was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the out of doors. In 1999, Eric graduated from Mott Middle College High School. Eric was a master of all trades. He was employed with Montague Latch Company.
Surviving are wife, Katie;
son, Preston;
mother, Wanda (Dale) Burris;
brother, Chris and Melissa “Muff”
brother, Zach (Melody);
sisters, Heather Burris and Kim Burris;
grandfather, Ken (Joyce) Jackson;
aunts, Tracy (Tim) Smith, Denise Jackson;
mother and father-in-law, Anna (Mark) Mallette;
father and mother-in-law; John (Judy) Kelly;
and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son, Austin, Daughter, Haylee, father John, grandmother, Judy and uncles, Robert, Gary, Terry and Ken.
