DIFFIN, LINDA KAY- of Davison, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, September 23,2026 at LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care.
Funeral service will be held at 4pm on Sunday, October 4, 2026, at First Flint Seventh-day Adventist Church, G-4285 Beecher Road, Flint, Pastor Malcolm Douglas officiating.
Visitation will be held at 2pm Sunday until the time of service at the church.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be directed to LaVigne Home for Compassionate Care.
Linda was born on December 1, 1947, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of the late Leonard and Dorma (Koppelberger) Helcher.
Linda married William Diffin on April 24, 2004, and he preceded her in death in 2024.
Linda graduated from Flint Central High School class of 1967. She earned her LPN degree in South Carolina. Linda was a member of First Flint Seventh-day Adventist Church. She was a member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association from 2010-2015. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, traveling, was very active in her church and loved spending time with her family.
Linda spent her entire career helping others as an LPN.
She is survived by her 4 children:
Kimberly (Todd) Cox of Kingsley, MI.; Leonard (Stephanie) Poole of Falling Waters, VA; Michelle Poole of Davison, MI. and Shannon “Danni” Pederson of Umatilla, FL.
Grandchildren: Kevin Poole, Katrina (Dennis) Nash, Logan Poole, Lacie Poole and partner Jerry Barylski, Matthew (LeeAnne) Spencer, Billy (Haley) Wright-Cox, James Cox, Ian Cox, Abigail Poole, Claire Poole, Ryan (Abagail) Pederson, and Miranda Pedersen;
Great-grandchildren: Talena, Julian, Isaac, Eli, Chevelle, Liam, Lennon and Florence;
Brother, Harry (Janice)Helcher, several nieces and nephews.
Special loved ones: Brenda Mose, Bethany Cherry-Tesner, Debi Cherry, Cindy Simons and Lee Ann Francis.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband William, son Dennis; granddaughter Erin Pedersen and great-granddaughter, Memphis, sister Evelyn (DeDe) Kryska.
