Floyd Moore
Age 87, of Corunna, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 22, 2026.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Fr. Michael O'Brien officiating. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 p.m.
Floyd was born on November 7, 1938, in Whick, Kentucky, the son of Homer and Susie (Deaton) Moore.
Floyd found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved taking long drives, carefully tending to his vegetable gardens, and most of all, spending time with his beloved family. His faithful dog, Marlo, held a very special place in his heart and brought him great companionship and happiness.
On January 16, 1960, Floyd married the love of his life, Donna Glenn. Together they shared more than 66 wonderful years of marriage, building a life centered on love, faith, and family.
Floyd dedicated over 42 years of service to General Motors before his retirement.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Donna Moore; his children, Floyd Jr. Moore, Donald Moore, Mary Morneau (Bob), Laura Walls (Danny), Daniel Moore (Terri), and Deann (Tony) Floria; several grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandchildren, Noah, Tim, and Kayla; his parents; his sister, Mary Jane; and his brothers, Gerald and Roy.
