Lee Ann was born June 14, 1954, in Flint, to the late Earl and Mary Jane (Radebaugh) Petersen. She attended Beecher High School and was a wonderful stay-at-home mother for much of her life. On December 12, 1970, she married her beloved husband, Robert Thomas Barry, and together they shared nearly 54 years of marriage. Robert preceded her in death in 2024. Lee Ann had a special place in her heart for all animals and found happiness in time spent with dear friends and cheering on the Detroit Tigers. But those who knew her knew there was a little extra magic in her heart when it came to Harry Potter and the enchanting world of Hogwarts. She delighted in the wonder of the wizarding world and carried a bit of that magic with her wherever she went. More than anything, Lee Ann will be remembered for the magic she brought into the lives of others through her sweetness, kindness, and the comforting way she was always there when someone needed her. She will be dearly missed.
Lee Ann is forever remembered by: Daughter, Chandra (Brian) Proctor; Brother, Marty (Laronda) Petersen; many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Lee Ann was preceded in death by: Husband, Robert; Daughter, Leah Barry; Parents, Earl and Mary Jane; Brother, John Petersen. |
