CARLSON, Geraldine “Gerry” A. (Maschino) – of Davison, MI, age 92, passed away Monday, May 25, 2026. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Fr. Andrew A. Czajkowski officiating. Private inurnment in St. John Catholic Cemetery, Davison, MI. The family will receive visitors 12-1 PM Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children, in Gerry’s memory.
Gerry was born in Davison, MI on October 24, 1933, daughter of the late William and Lucille (Westgate) Maschino. On December 1, 1951, Gerry Maschino married Floyd Carlson and he preceded her in death on April 21, 2011. Gerry found great joy in life's simple pleasures and the people she loved most. She cherished spending time antiquing with her sisters, always delighted by the stories and treasures they discovered together. Some of her happiest memories were made while traveling and vacationing with her beloved husband, Floyd. Family vacations at Higgins Lake became fond memories of good times shared. Gerry enjoyed reading and sewing. Above all, Gerry was devoted to her family and friends.
Gerry is survived by 2 children, Karla Emmel and Paul Carlson; 6 grandchildren, Katie, Jack, Jessica, Charlotte, Jeff and Tammy; 15 great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucille Maschino; husband, Floyd Carlson; son, Christopher Carlson; son-in-law, Jeff Emmel; 5 sisters, Mary Miles, Helen Toles, Evelyn Grimes, Norine LaLonde and Pauline Minto.
