NAGY, Dolores “Jean” – Of Burton, age 85, passed away peacefully Monday, December 22, 2025 at Stonegate Health Campus after a year long battle with acute myeloid leukemia.
Funeral service will be held at 11am Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, Minister Rigel Dawson officiating.
Visitation 4-8pm Friday and 10am Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Dolores was born in Elkmont, Alabama on February 9, 1940, the daughter of the late Richard and Gracie (Vinson) Johns. Dolores married Donald Nagy on October 1, 1960 in Flint, Michigan and they spent 54 loving years together. She graduated from Bendle High School, Class of 1958. She enjoyed baking, sewing and spending time with her family. Family was everything to her. Dolores was a life-long member of Bristol Road Church of Christ. Dolores was always thinking of everyone else before herself.
Surviving are children, Susan and husband Scott Hynes of Davison, Sandra and husband Richard Staffne of Fenton, Douglas and wife Marie Nagy of Grand Blanc;
grandchildren, Jeremy Staffne and fiancé, Lindsay, Jason Hynes and fiancé Emily, Aaron and wife, Jessica Staffne, Jessica and husband Tommy Diener, Jenelle and husband Michael Goff, Matthew Nagy, Brenden and wife Connie Hynes, Anthony Nagy and Steven Nagy;
great-grandchildren, Makenzie, Brooklyn, Eli, Bennett, Deklund, Blake, Eliza, Owen and Lincoln;
Close knit family with her sisters, Jane (J) Peel, Liz Foy, brother Rick Johns, Countless nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald and her parents.
