BECHTEL, Sherry – of Clio, age 65, died unexpectedly on Friday, March 20, 2026, at her residence. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1PM on Monday, March 30, 2026, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Larry Nelson officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 11AM until the time of service at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the American Lung Association.
Sherry was born on September 22, 1960, in Flint, to the late Tommy and Barnalene (Zielinski) Frost. She graduated from Flint Central High School with the class of 1978 and proudly earned two associate’s degrees in travel and business management from Baker College. For nearly 20 years, Sherry worked at General Motors. Sherry found great joy being outdoors, especially while tending to her flower gardens and expressing her creativity through landscaping and design. She will be remembered as a strong-willed, caring, and devoted woman, yet always loyal and deeply family-oriented. She had a generous heart, consistently putting others before herself, and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Above all, Sherry loved spending time with her son and grandchildren. She will be deeply missed.
Sherry is forever remembered by: Joshua (Sarah) Whitson; Grandchildren: Tyler (Payton), Caitlyn, and Alexander; Great grandchildren: Emmett and Palmer; Brothers: Timothy and James Frost; Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and wonderful friends. Sherry was preceded in death by her beloved grandson, Noah; Parents, Tommy and Barnalene; Sister-in-law, Barb, and Great Nephew, Cody. |
