Nord, Lillian Wanda, of Flushing, age 94, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Angel Manor in Clio. A funeral service will be held at 11am Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Rossell Funeral Home, 307 E. Main St., Flushing. Visitation will be from 9:30am until the time of service. Burial will follow the service at Gracelawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Whaley Children’s Center.
Lillian was born in Flint, Michigan on December 24, 1930, daughter of the late Michael and Wanda (Reszka) Niec. She worked for the Flint Board of Education for many years. Lillian always enjoyed a trip to the casino, or playing a game of BINGO.
Lillian is survived by her children, Michael L. Nord and Laura L. Major; grandchildren, Janelle Legrande, Jason Nord, Ron Nord, Jennifer Jesme, Michael Nord II, Jessica Nord, Jamie (Eric) Applegate and Tyler Major; many great-grandchildren and other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her son, Phillip J. Nord; son and daughter-in-law, Alan T. and Janice Nord; daughter, Lynn O’Connor; daughter-in-law, Maria L. Nord; grandsons, Phillip John Nord and Justin Phillip John Nord; great-granddaughter, Noa Applegate; and siblings, Chester Niec, Floyd Niec, Helen Ondovcsik, and Dorothy Dzido. |
