MANCHESTER, Elizabeth M. – of Clio, age 90, died Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at McLaren Regional Medical Center of Flint. Funeral services will be held 11AM Friday, March 16, 2018 at Bethany United Methodist Church. 353 E. Vienna St. in Clio. Rev. Cathi Huvaere officiating. Entombment in Flint Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Thursday from 1PM until 8PM and at the church Friday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Memorial contributions may be made to the Davison VFW Auxiliary Cancer Fund.
Elizabeth was born January 1, 1928 in Flint, Michigan to the late Henry and Alma (Boulton) Martin. She graduated from Clio High School in 1946. Elizabeth married Charley Manchester on May 2, 1947. He preceded her in death November 8, 1992. Elizabeth was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, the Doll Club, and life member of the Davison VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed crafting, dolls, and making holiday pins to give away to family and friends. Above all, Elizabeth loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are: Children: Patricia Longueuil, Ted Manchester, Robert (Christine) Manchester, and Alma (David) Gay; Grandchildren: Christian Longueuil, Erik Longueuil, Christina (Robert) Jesionowski, Michael (Dreya) Manchester, Tammy (Jerry) Johnston, Brian (Theresa) Manchester, Scott (Brook) Manchester, Steve (Jody) Manchester, Sara (J.C.) Del Norte, Robert (Nancy) Manchester II, Katie (Ryan) Jones, Danielle (Leonard) Shimmons, and Elizabeth (Jason) Sonnenberg; 17 great grandchildren. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her sons: Kenneth Manchester, and Keith Manchester; Brothers: John Martin, and Edward Martin.
