Joanne Marie Mosure, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 24, 2023, in Lapeer, Michigan. Born on October 29, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, Joanne was a beacon of love, wittiness, and selflessness, whose memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Joanne was the loving wife of Bill Mosure for 48 years, and the proud mother of Bob (Wendy) Mosure, Dustin Mosure, and Angel Mosure. She was a devoted sister to Judy Stapels and Dan Lemanski. Joanne was the adored grandmother of Addison, Hunter, Kaleb, Cash, and Kingsley, and a cherished aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander & Frances Lemanski, and brother Ronald.
Joanne’s working life was marked by her dedication and commitment. Over the span of 1990 to 2008, she managed the Lapeer and Davison Burger King, where she was known for her thoughtful leadership and warm sense of humor. Joanne’s work extended beyond the professional sphere, as she enjoyed attending St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Otisville, where she found a strong and supportive community.
Joanne had a love for the simple pleasures in life. She cherished moments spent around a bonfire, watching the wildlife and sharing stories with family and friends. Joanne had an adventurous spirit, often traveling south during the winter to explore new places and experiences. She also had a green thumb and spent countless hours tending to her beautiful rose garden, which was a testament to her patience and care.
Joanne will be remembered as a woman of great character. Her thoughtfulness was evident in her every action, always considering the needs and feelings of others before her own. She was selfless, always ready to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement. Joanne had a witty sense of humor, her laughter was contagious and brought joy to those around her.
A Celebratory Mass will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Otisville, with visitation 1 hour prior to mass. Family and Friends may visit 3:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Jansen Family Funeral Home – Columbiaville.
