DESHANO, Rose Marie. – of Montrose, age 84, passed away peacefully Friday, December 1, 2017 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Rose’s Life will be held at a later date.
Rose was born October 31, 1933 in Warren, Ohio to the late William and Geraldine (Niles) Higgins. She married Lloyd G. DeShano May 26, 1951. He preceded her in death January of 1989. Rose was employed with Luce Pharmacy in Flushing for 22 years and later Liberty Buick for 15 years before retiring. She was a member of Trinity Assembly of God in Mt. Morris and the VFW Post # 5666 Ladies Auxiliary in Flushing. Rose was a marvelous cook and baker. She loved reading, crocheting, watching movies, and shopping. She will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Children: Teresa (Dana) Moore, Lynn (Steve) Ocenasek, Cheryl (Joe) Appel, Lloyd G. DeShano II, Patty (Jim) Sarka, Laura (George) Mersinas, and Larry (Cindy) DeShano; Grandchildren: Autumn, Wesley, Tammy, Jeremy, Jacob, Jenny, Jamie, Chris, Dina, Demetrios, and Joshua; Many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
