Pennington, Edna Pearl – of Mt. Morris, age 81, died on Friday, September 24, 2021. Funeral services will take place at 2 PM Friday, October 1, 2021, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors Friday, from 11 AM until the time of service at 2 PM. Honoring her wishes, cremation will follow.
Edna was born March 14, 1940 to the late Harold and Alda (Wright) Parsell. Edna married John Pennington III on August 29, 1984, in Mt. Morris, Michigan. Mr. Pennington preceded her in death on June 1, 2018. Edna loved spending time with family and friends, and could always be found in the kitchen cooking a wonderful meal for anyone who visited. Spring was Edna’s favorite time of year; she enjoyed planting flowers, feeding all the animals that called her yard home, and chatting with friends. Every Friday, Edna joined many of those friends at the hair salon, where she shared food, laughs, and her genuine concern and love. Edna was also a caring mother and grandmother who had an open heart, friendly ear, and helping hand for her children and grandchildren. Simply put, she was always there for anyone who needed her.
Surviving are: Children: Bill (Christina Dillon-Yott) Robertson and John (Michelle) Pennington; Grandchildren: Mitch (Amanda), Kaitlyn (David), Jacob, Jessica, and Briana; Great-Grandchildren: Amelia, Zoey, and Zander; Siblings: Karen (LeVern) Hopson and Ramona Parsell; Several nieces and nephews; and too many special and dear friends to name. She was preceded in death by: Loving Husband, John Pennington III; Step-Mother, Lelah Parsell; Sons: Gary Robertson and Danny Robertson; and Grandson, Jaryd Robertson; Sister, Janis.
