OSTRANDER, Barbara Jean – Of Burton, age 87, died Sunday, March 17, 2019 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral service will be held 11am Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Tom Mattiuzzo officiating.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Visitation 5-8pm Wednesday and 10am Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Barbara was born in Flint on August 27, 1931, the daughter of the late Harry and Edna (Fields) Lindsley. On November 1, 1950, she married Devere Ostrander in Flint. Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Barbara loved dogs, eating out with a side of Diet Coke and shopping with her family.
Barbara is survived by son, Dale Ostrander;
daughter, Carrie Jean and husband Andrew Ciak;
grandchildren, Felicia (Charles) Pearce, Drew Ciak, Michelle Fagan and Jeffrey Ostrander;
many great-grandchildren;
sister, Carrie (Vance) Kupisch;
and many nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Devere, and son, Garry, and brothers, Sherwood and Bruce.
