BROOKS, Ms. Cathy Lanae- Age 46, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at residence.
Family and friends will gather in the sanctuary of Second Friendship Missionary Baptist Church 6046 N. Clio Road Mt. Morris, MI 48458 on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 11AM, with service commencing promptly at 12NOON. Rev. Rodney S. Williams Sr., host pastor.
Ms. Brooks will lie in state at Swanson Funeral Home 2210 M.L. King Avenue Flint, MI 48503 on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 and may be viewed 11AM-8PM. Interment Gracelawn Cemetery.
Ms. Cathy Lanae Brooks was born March 20, 1968 in Flint, Michigan. She was the daughter of Cecelia and Cleveland Brooks. Cathy loved to do crafts, spend time with family and friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory: fiance' and love of her life, Francis Charles; parents, Cecelia and Cleveland Brooks; sisters, Connie (Kevin) Miller, Carolyn (Nicon) Aubrey and Monica Brooks; brothers, Cleveland Brooks and Antwon Brooks; nieces, Shaketta Brooks, Latrice Harrison, Mishari Ryan, Marshawna Ryan, Marcelia Ryan, Mariah Ryan and Shaleah Miller; nephews, Martwan Ryan, Martez Ryan and Joshua Aubrey; great-nephews, Marcus Harrison and Raheem Harrison; great-nieces, Rainah Harrison and Novia Ryan; aunts, Francis Hines, Vonnie Brown, Wanda Marshell, Katie Brooks, Sara Gray, Grace Tendeton and Ethyl Harris; uncles, Major Fuller, Columbus Brooks, Joseph Brooks, Dave Brooks, Alvin Brooks and Rayford Gray; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends including special friends: Sheria Skinner, Patti Margaret Brown, Lisa Vet and many more.
She was preceded in death by: grandparents, Sare Simmons, Grady Simmons, Henry Brooks and Lucienda Brooks; uncles, Grady Simmons Jr., and Mark Simmons; and aunts, Francis Jackson and Marva Webb.
