Shirley Ann Thomas
Age 77 of Owosso passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at McLaren - Flint.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at McGeehan Funeral Homes New Lothrop Chapel. A private family service will take place the following day with burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
Shirley was born on May 26, 1943 to William and Ena (Runyan) Kerry in Owosso. She married Phillip Thomas Jr. on November 19, 1978; they celebrated 30 years of marriage before he predeceased her in 2008.
Shirley worked as a Home Healthcare Provider for many years. She was a kind and loving person who truly enjoyed caring for others. She loved her family above all and always cherished time with them. Shirley enjoyed crocheting blankets, and taking trips up north. She was always a "granny on the go" and loved traveling all over.
Shirley is survived by her 4 children, Deb (Eugene) Newman, Billie (Larry) Milton, Tammy (Frank) Fisher, and Phillip (Tricia) Thomas; her step-children, MaryAnn Gotts, Traci Ruffin, Tim Thomas, Greg Thomas, and Matt Thomas; her 26 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren; her siblings, Jo (Jon) Fortunato, Betty (Bill) Dilla, Helen House, and Ken (Faith) Kerry; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is predeceased by her husband, Phillip; her parents; and her sisters, Kate and Barb.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the wishes of the family.
