ASH, Claude Delvin – of Burton, age 87, passed away March 14, 2018 at McLaren- Flint. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, March 19, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Flora Ash and Rev. Bessie Hope co-officiating. Burial with Military Honors under the auspices of the Davison VFW Post #4087 will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 PM Sunday and 10 AM until time of service on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Davison VFW Post #4087.

Claude was born in Beaverton, MI on February 6, 1931, son of the late Edward and Marie (Ulshafer) Ash. He married Evelyn and she preceded him in death on November 12, 2004. Claude proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation – Flint River Chapter, NRA, Davison VFW Post #4087 Commander and an Honor Guard member. Claude owned and operated Claude Ash Excavating and was a member of Local #324 for 65 years.

Claude is survived by his sons, Claude C. (Sandi Conrad), Edward (Laura) and Noel (Dawn); stepchildren, Richard Crofts, Deborah (Steve) Jenrow, Kathleen Kline and their families; siblings, Flora Ash, Marcia Pavkovich, Norma Vohwinkle and Lawrence (Betty) Ash; and several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings, Ronald, Earnest, Bernard, Richard, Floyd, Ralph, Doris, Lucille and Kathryn.
