MILLER, Jack Allen. – of Clio, age 92, died Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11AM Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at North End Baptist Church – 7360 Clio Rd., in Mt. Morris. Pastor Ted Stephens officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. Inurnment will be held at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, at a later date with Pastor Ted Stephens officiating and full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North End Baptist Church in Mt. Morris.
Jack was born July 29, 1926 in Flint, Michigan to the late Nelson and Della (Froman) Miller. He graduated from Davison High School in 1944. Jack married Audrey Webb on March 8, 1980 at Hopewell General Baptist Church in Flint. Mr. Miller is a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran. He retired from Buick in 1982 with 30 years seniority. Jack was a member of North End Baptist Church in Mt. Morris. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and reading. Jack was an author and accomplished artist. He wrote his first novel, The Triangle on The Oregon Trail, which is now registered in the Library of Congress. Jack loved oil painting and taught classes at the Clio Senior Center and to his great grandchildren.
Surviving are: Wife, Audrey Miller; Sons: Dennis (Glaycel) Miller, and Theodore Miller; Daughters: Sue Stout, and Laura (Brian) Bauer; Stepchildren: Teresa (Richard) Bartholomew, Michael Webber, Leslie (Jerry) Elrich, and Eric Webber; 7 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; Sister, Pat (Dale) Fuller; Several nieces and nephews. Jack was also preceded in death by his brothers: Larry, Donald, and Nelson Jr.; Daughter in law, Cecilia Miller.
