VREDEVELD, David W. - Of Flushing, age 59, died Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Cremation will take place following the service.
Contributions may be made to the family.
Visitation 2-8pm Tuesday and 11am Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
David was born in Muskegon, Michigan on September 16, 1958, the son of James and Mitzi (Fresby) Vredeveld. David attended Freeman, McKinley and Southwestern schools. He belonged to UAW #659. David loved his trips to Germany with his co-workers from General Motors. He loved to fish and also enjoyed woodworking. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving are wife, Renee;
sons, Jason (Mallorie) Pendergrass of Burton and Keith (Brittney) Lovely;
daughter, Amber Lovely; granddaughter, Harper;
mother, Mitzi Shmidt; brothers, Jon (Joy) Vredeveld of Maylene, AL and Gary (Cindy) Vredeveld of Montrose, MI;
brother-in-law Joe (Tammy) Caryl; sister-in-law, Sissy (Stan) Bates;
mother-in-law, June (Dave) Wachowicz; several nieces and nephews;
best friend, Jeff Jones; and his dogs, Willow and friends; and many other friends.
He was preceded in death by his father James B. Vredeveld, step-father Frank H. Shmidt, brother Kenneth J. Vredeveld, grandmothers, Irene Vredeveld and Mary Fresby, grandfather, Barteld Vredeveld.
