MILLER, Wayne P. - Of Flint, age 65, died Sunday, March 30, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral service will be held 2pm Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint with military honors under the auspice of VFW Post #822 Honor Guard.
Cremation will take place following the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Visitation 2-8pm Wednesday and Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Wayne was born in East Tawas, MI on December 9, 1948 and was a resident of the Flint area most of his life. Wayne proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of VFW Post #822. He retired from General Motors after 25 years of service.
Surviving are daughter, Shannan Wangler and husband Douglas;
son, Brant and wife Christine;
grandsons, Matthew Miller and Tyler Miller;
his mother, Jacqueline Bennett;
sister, Constance and husband David Lawson;
special friend, Geraldine (Gerri) Miller;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Miller.
