ELOWSKY, Neoma Jean of Chesaning, age 82, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Covenant Health Care. Funeral services will be 1 PM Friday, October 14, 2011 at Lamb of God Fellowship in Montrose, Pastor Robert Koch officiating. Burial will be at Flint Memorial Park. Friends may call at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose on Thursday from 2-8PM and on Friday at the church from 12 until time of services at 1PM. Contributions may be made to the Lamb of God Fellowship.
Neoma was born September 29, 1929 in Flint to the late Alfred and Louisa (Finkbeiner) Amey. She was a resident of Chesaning the past 10 years coming from Missouri. She married Arthur Elowsky on July 3, 1948. He preceded her in death on January 3, 2005. Mrs. Elowsky was a member of Lamb of God Fellowship. She and her husband started Psallo Praise Ministries. She loved to help with worship and praise and was a mighty prayer warrior. She was an awesome wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Surviving are: children, Christie (Rick) Bigham of Chesaning, Denise Yates of Otter Lake, Roger (Jonna Kay) Elowsky of Berrien Springs; 10 grandchildren, Vanessa (Paul) Filan, Rachel (Matt) Nickels, Jennifer (Bruce) Fraser, Charity (Graham) Lash, Sarah (Dustin) Walker, Joshua Yates, Regina (Ryan) Gast, Jeffrey (Rebecca) Elowsky, Crystal (Rayvon) Jackson, Tyler (Shenise) Roots; 17 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Ellery Amey of Davison, Arnold (Jean) Amey of Otisville, Eunice (Ed) Lasley of Clio, Leon (Janet) Amey of Flint, Jerome (Sandy) Amey of Flint; many nieces and nephews.
