EGGERT, Genevieve E. – Of Hartland, age 102, died Monday, June 9, 2025, at Serene Gardens of Hartland.
Funeral service will be held at 12:30pm Monday, June 23, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Chaplain Russ Park officiating.
Visitation will be at 11 am Monday, June 23, 2025, till the time of service.
Genevieve was born in Alma, Michigan on October 25, 1922, the daughter of the late Jack and Thirza (Pendell) Terry.
She married the love of her life Ralph Eggert on December 20, 1941, in Middleton. They were married 76 years. Having 8 children, 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
She was well loved and cared for by the staff at her home; Serene Gardens, and her granddaughter Amy. She was feisty, kind, and always entertaining with her hilarious humor, and out of pocket remarks. She was a woman who spoke her mind, who loved her family, and had a heart of gold. At 102 she still had a fire for life and brought joy to those around her.
Surviving are children, Philip, Terry, Robert (Renee), Richard, Jackie, Pamela, Kevin (Julie);
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ralph, sister Joyce, son Melvin and 2 granddaughters Felicia, and Juliet.
