BERLIN, DOUGLAS – Of Grand Blanc, age 55, died Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at his residence.
Funeral service will be held, Monday 3 pm June 9, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Visitation will be at 10 am on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Swartz Funeral Home until the time of service.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and American Kidney Foundation.
Douglas was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on September 28, 1969, the son of Daniel and Margaret (Scoble) Berlin.
He married Jennifer Hunt on September 21, 1996, at First General Baptist in Flint.
He proudly earned an electrical masters and contractors license. For over 10 years he successfully ran his own business; Berlin Electric. He was a proud member of the Flint Regional BNI. Douglas valued all of the relationships, partnerships and connections he made throughout his career.
Douglas enjoyed fishing, especially walleye fishing in Saginaw Bay. He enjoyed going to deer camp during hunting season, spending summers up north and classic cars. Above all he loved his family.
Surviving are his wife Jennifer;
sons, Dawson, and Evan;
parents, Daniel, and Margaret;
sister, Lori (Vince);
niece, Elizabeth;
nephews, Edward, Nathan, and Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Mary Elizabeth Berlin and Frances Belle Scoble.
