WESTON, Richard A. - of Davison, age 73, passed away January 2, 2014 in Williamsport, MD. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Tom Mattiuzzo officiating. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Friday. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held at 7 pm Friday. There will be one hour of visitation prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Tabernacle Storehouse.
Richard was born in Gladwin, MI on November 17, 1940, son of the late Albert and Viola (Woodring) Weston. He married Dorthy Grim in April 1963; she predeceased him in June 1975. Richard then married Dawn A. Uptegraff on August 21, 1976 in Flint, MI. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, a lifetime member of Masonic Welfare Lodge # 517, and also belonged to Kishma Grotto. Richard was the Vice President of the Weston Family Reunion. He worked for GM at Drayton Plains for 40 years.
Richard is survived by his wife of 37 years, Dawn Weston; children, Jeff Weston, Kelly (Rich) Mann, Mark (Jacquie) Weston, Treasure (Jeremy) Wamsley; grandchildren, Shayne, Andrew, Michelle, Gavin, Lacey, Skyler, Michael, Matthew, Joseph, and Timothy; three sisters, Helen Horn, Mary (James) Larson, Madeline FitzGerald and many extended family. He was preceded in death by granddaughter, Olivia Rose Weston and brother, Harold Weston.
