BEAN, Jeanette E. - of Clio formerly of Melvindale, age 93 died Friday, November 3, 2017 at Courtyard Manor in Swartz Creek, Michigan. Visitation and service will be Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home, Clio Chapel. Visitation begins at 11:00am, service will be at 2:00pm.
Pastor Cathi Huvaere will be officiating the service. The family would like any memorial contributions to be made to Hospice of Michigan.
Jeanette was born October 17, 1924 in St. Johns, Michigan the daughter of Claude and Gertrude (Martyn) Allen. She graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1942. Jeanette worked for King Cigar Company in Flint as a bookkeeper. She married Ralph Douglas Bean from Mayville on February 8, 1947.
During her lifetime she was very close to her faith in God: she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Melvindale and later on the Bethany Methodist Church in Clio.
She was a member of the Eastern Stars and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Jeanette enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, had a special spot in her heart for the pets of hers and her family. She enjoyed sewing; made clothing and made several quilts. She played the piano and had always said that music was a form of therapy. Jeanette was a wonderful caregiver for her family and extended family. She was always there to comfort others. Most of all, Jeanette enjoyed being with her children, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends.
Surviving are: Children, Kathryn (Mike) Crampton, Stanley (Shirley) Bean, Lori (LeRoy) Heasley, Carol (Eugene) Copeland; 7 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph; son Allen; brothers Robert Allen, Max Allen;
