ELDER, Eva Beatrice - Of Durand, formerly of Flint, age 88, died Monday, April 6, 2015 at Durand Senior Care.
Funeral service will be held 11am Friday, April 10, 2015 at Durand Church of God, 10411 Newburg Road, Durand,
Pastor Bruce J. Badder officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Those desiring may make contributions to Durand Church of God.
Visitation 5-8pm Thursday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Eva will be at the church 10am Friday until the time of the service.
Eva was born in Iron City, Tennessee on November 26, 1926. On May 9, 1968, she married Jesse C. Elder. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1998.
Surviving are sons, Reverend Jerry and wife Jerri Ruth Elder of Maryland, Terry Elder and Paul Skelly of Clinton Township;
daughters, Peggy Bellamy of Durand, Kay McAboy of Durand, Tina and husband John Riddle of Tennessee;
10 grandchildren;
19 great-grandchildren;
brother, Johney Russ;
sisters, Dorothy and husband, Nellie and husband Howard Sims, Dorean and husband, Norma Jean Sales, Christine Barker;
and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sue Ann Kimmel; parents, James and Minnie Russ; brothers, Samuel, Daniel and Ed Russ.
