STANLEY, John Thomas, Jr. – of Flint, MI, age 60, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of John’s Life will be held on a later date.
John was born in Flint, MI on March 27, 1961, son of the late John Thomas Stanley Sr. and Dorothy Sue (West) Stanley. He was the second-generation owner and operator of City Moving & Delivery Services for over 40 years. John was a hard worker and was one of the most valued and trusted professional Movers in Genesee County. He took great pride in his work because he truly loved what he did. John was also a fun, loving father. He loved trips Up North with his family, especially to Silver Lake Sand Dunes. John had a love for classic cars and powersports. He was truly dedicated to spending time with his family and always put the needs of those he cared about above his own. John’s kind, caring nature would always lift the spirits of those around him and bring happiness to all in his presence. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him.
John is survived by his daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Zinn; grandson, Jayden Zinn; four sisters, Sandra (Robert) North, Christie (Granville) Auker, Dru Stanley and Suzy (John) Cross; many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Dorothy Stanley Sr.; three brothers, Scott Stanley, Steve Stanley and Mike Stanley.
