STEMPLE, Beverly Mae (Wilcox) – of Flint, MI, age 88, passed away in the loving arms of her children on Friday, August 10, 2018. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; Rev. Harold K. Polk, Jr. officiating. Interment immediately following the service in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 4-8 PM Sunday, August 12, 2018, 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Monday, August 13, 2018 and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home.
Beverly was born in Flint, MI on May 31, 1930, daughter of the late John and Gladys (Parrot) Wilcox. She married Carl R. Stemple, Sr. on February 15, 1948 and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1995. Beverly retired from General Motors Parts Division UAW Local #659 in Swartz Creek, MI in 1976. She enjoyed spending time with her husband, siblings and parents during their yearly hunting trips in the U.P. Beverly also enjoyed spending time with her family at their cabin in Gladwin, MI.
Beverly is survived by 6 children, Christine (Joseph) Vargo, Suzanne (John) Bonasse, Carl Stemple, Jr., Geri Stemple, Kim (David) Thorp and Karen Stemple; 9 grandchildren, Sandy, Tracy, Drew, Rich, Jason, Kelly, John, Mark and Kevin; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; sister, Gloria (Jim) Gavagan; 2 special former daughters-in-law, Melissa Stemple and Julie; former son-in-law, Mike McGinnis; many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by great-granddaughter, Audrey Gogola; 3 sisters, Marion, Agnes and Margie; 3 brothers, Robert, James and John.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to our dear family friend, Karen Galvas for her loving and compassionate care.
The family would also like to thank Beverly’s life-long neighbors, especially Dalton and Gage, who always looked after her and Ryan and Hayden who brought her many years of joy.
