Margaret Ann (Wiklanski) Boris
Age 73 of Burt, MI passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at St. Michael Catholic Church of Maple Grove Township. Family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home Martin Chapel on Friday, May 18 from 2:00 to 8:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm, and also at the church on Saturday from 10:00am until the service.
Born October 1, 1944 to Stanley and Maud (Caldwell) Wiklanski, Marge was a graduate of St. Francis of Petosky High School. She married Anthony "Tony" Boris Jr. in May 1963, and they celebrated 29 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in May 1992.
Marge is a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church. She worked in Customer Service for Health Plus of Michigan where she retired after 17 years. Marge was an active member of TOPS 1313 in Chesaning for over 30 years.
An avid collector of Angels, she accumulated over 800 from her friends and family. She loved creating and sending personalized greeting cards, and kept alive the art of handwriting personal messages to her extensive network of family and friends. Marge loved to travel to visit with those friends and family, from Massachusetts to California, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba to Okinawa, Japan.“Roll with the Flow" and "Make it a Great Day" are her two signature catchphrases known to all. Marge was also well known for her contagious smile and wonderful, loving hugs.
A kid at heart, Marge loved seeing all the neighborhood children dressed up at Halloween, and she gave gifts on any occasion. She often passed out golden dollar coins to random children just to see their smiles.
She leaves to cherish precious memories four children, Debbie (Ric) Frost, Steve (Tammy) Boris, Tony (Sherry) Boris, and David (Rebecca) Boris; seven grandchildren, Tristan (Alyssa) Klepoch, Jerrica Boris, Madison Boris, Tevra Boris, Ashton Boris, Devin Boris and Tyler Boris; five sisters, Mary Boris, Karen (Ray) Griffith, Barb (Rob) Pierce, Rita (Russ) Wright, and Lucy (Dave) Shippy; three brothers, Dick (Carol) Wiklanski, John (Ellen) Wiklanski, and Dan Wiklanski; special sisters-in-law, Joan Janack, Bennie Boris, and Dora Boris; a multitude of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends, including very special friend, Sir Tom Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband Tony; her parents, Stan and Maud; sisters, Grace Spears and Rose Lohrman, special sister-in-law, Regina Shank; and special brothers-in-law, Leo Boris, Carl Boris, Tom Boris, and Jake Janack. |
