JEWELL, Margie R. – of Clio, formerly Birch Run, age 66, died Friday September 9, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center in Flint. Honoring her request cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 PM Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10 AM until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Margie was born March 5, 1945 in Flint, MI to the late Fordson and Wilma (Palmer) Curtis. She married Raymond Jewell on April 2, 1973 in Flint. She was a cook at the Mecca Restaurant in Clio and at Big John’s Lamplighter in Frankenmuth. Margie was a member of the Eagles Club 3609 in Clio and was an Avon Representative. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, bird watching and camping. Margie loved music, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are: husband, Raymond; children, Sharon (Tim) Wentworth of Birch Run, Bob Lobodzinski of Clio, Ron Lobodzinski of Mt. Morris; 6 grandchildren, Matthew (Adrianne) Wentworth, Stacey Wentworth and fiancé Josh, Jolynn Maurer, Jacob Miller, Daniel Pero, Alisha (James) Simpson; 4 great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Kenneth Jewell, Autumn and Paige Simpson, baby Wentworth on the way; brothers, David (Diane) Curtis, Darrell (Grace) Curtis, Dwight (Patty) Curtis, Dale Curtis; sisters, Gloria Schmeisser, Rita (James) Alexander; brother-in-law, Denny Carl; and many other family and friends.
