BRACKETT, Jerry Bobby, Sr. - Of Flint, age 86, died Thursday, September 23, 2021 at his son’s home.
Visitation will be held 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Saturday, October 2, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.
Service will be held in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Mr. Brackett will be returned to Tupelo, Mississippi.
Jerry was born in Shannon, Mississippi on February 11, 1935, the son of the late Eddie and Mary (Smith) Brackett.
Surviving are sister, Sadie Brackett Brown;
son, Jerry (Willa) Brackett Jr.;
daughters, Willie Ogbonna, Rhonda Brackett (Ivan Hawthorne) and Monica Hessier;
number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Special thanks to Elara Hospice, Ivan Hawthorne, for assisting my father with any and all needs in regards to his quality of life; Willa and Cierra for their special care of Jerry during his transition to his homegoing.
He was preceded in death by father, Eddie and mother, Mary; siblings, Marie Brackett Shack-Seals, Willie Mary Brackett, Viola S. Brackett, James Brackett, Eula Dean Brackett, Preston Brackett, Sarah Brackett Partow, Walter Leo Brackett, Sylvena Brackett and Queenester Brackett.
