SPARKS, Leah Marie (Singleton) – Of Burton, age 47, received her angel wings on Saturday, March 17, 2018, at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2018 at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Stephanie Ridley officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. The family would like you to Pay It Forward or plant a flower in honor of Leah. Visitation 11 a.m-3 p.m. and 4-8 p.m. Sunday and 12noon until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Leah was born in Flint, Michigan on April 15, 1970. She graduated from Kearsley High School in 1988, where she ran cross country and held a sprint record in track. She enjoyed Spring when she could plant flowers and garden. Leah had a giving heart of gold and loved spending time with her grandchildren, who called her Grandma Wee-Wee, and golfing with her parents. Surviving are her
daughter, Courtney (Armando) Perez; son, Timothy (Jessica); grandchildren, Addison, Oliver, Evahlin, Ellysia and Elania; parents, Larry and Judy Singleton; grandmother, Mary Lou Reed; brothers, Jeff Singleton, Derek (Taylor) Singleton; sister, Michele (Howard) Brown; best friend, Brian Carpenter; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
