NEWSOM, William - Of Flint, age 68, died Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Henry Ford Genesys. William was born in Flint, Michigan on February 11, 1958, the son of Francis and Carolyn (Howell) Newsom. On February 11, 1989, he married Linda Benjamin in Flint, Michigan. William enjoyed golfing, collecting trading cards, and going to concerts. Above all else, he enjoyed serving the community. William was employed with General Motors for 30 years as a production worker, retiring in 2006.
Surviving are wife, Linda; son, Jacob Newsom; mother, Carolyn Newsom; and sisters, Lynda (Will) Gibson and Jeanna (Randy) Lee. He was preceded in death by his father, Francis and brothers, Dave and Ron Newsom. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
