HUNT, Marie L. – of Flint, Michigan, age 61, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at McLaren Flint Hospital. Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) or the American Cancer Society in Marie’s name.
Marie L. Wiltsie was born in Flint on November 14, 1964, daughter of the late John and Rita (Miller) Wiltsie. She married Christopher Hunt on April 30, 1983, in Genesee. He survives her. Marie was an animal advocate; she especially had a fondness for dogs. She loved to shop and spend time at the casino. Marie’s greatest joy was found in spending time with her family and friends, especially her beloved grandchildren.
Marie is survived by her loving husband, Christopher Hunt; son, Christopher (Jacquline) Hunt, Jr.; 2 grandchildren, Alexis and Cash Gilder; sister, Theresa (Todd) Thurlow; brother, Matthew (Emily) Wiltsie; aunt, Imogene Knowles and Sharon Miller; step-sisters, Patti (Kenny) Harrison and Sue (Jimmy) Baier; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by a daughter, Desireé Gilder; grandparents, Henry and Jeanette Miller and Alvin and Elizabeth Wiltsie; 2 aunts, Jean (George) Seniff and Beverly Miller; uncle, Henry Evans Miller.
