BERRYMAN, JANICE KAY– Of Flint, passed into heaven’s gate on the afternoon of Friday, May 15, 2026, at the age of 81 at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital.
Janice was born on December 23, 1944, in Flint, Michigan to loving parents, the late Albert and Leona (Sutkay) Berryman of Flint, Michigan. She was their fourth child.
Janice worked a few diverse jobs through her employment years, spending her young working life as a salesclerk at Mills End Fabrics. She then spent several years as a bank teller for Genesee Bank and completed her career working at a GM Call Center.
Janice did love her family and the Lord. She was an active member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.
She is survived by her sister Carole Olivo; several cousins, nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Marilyn (Walter) Bartkowiak of South Bend, IN, brother Gerald (Juanita) Berryman of Flint, MI, sister Lenore Berryman of Flint, MI, and brother-in-law, Leo (Bill) Olivo of Flint, MI.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint, MI. A rosary will be prayed at 7 pm.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 20. There will be a short visitation before at the church, at 10:00 am.
A luncheon reception will follow immediately after the funeral mass at the church reception hall for family and friends attending.
Burial will take place at New Calvary Cemetery, where close family members are welcome to attend, after the reception.
