SUCHY, Lonnie Lee – Of Flint, age 76, died Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital.
Visitation 10am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm Monday, August 31, 2026, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.
Burial in Flint Memorial Park.
Lonnie was born in Flint, Michigan on August 27, 1949, the son of the late Paul Sr. and Patricia Suchy. Lonnie graduated from Carmen High School. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends daily at McDonalds, attending auctions, car shows and enjoyed building bird houses and spending time with friends and family. Lonnie retired from General Motors Engine Plant South in 2003 after 34.4 years of service and was a member of UAW #659.
Surviving are daughter, Andrea (Keith) Weaver;
Granddaughter, Amelia Vanhoy;
Sister-in-law, Annette Suchy;
Nieces and nephew, Melissa (Scott) Daup, Misty (Corey) Daup, Paul (Victoria) E. Suchy III and many great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Paul Jr. and sister, Deborah Ann Link.
