Pauline Robachinski (Antonelli)

Born: 10/10/1928
Died: 12/5/2022
Age: 94
Community: Swartz Creek, MI

Pauline Robachinski (Antonelli) passed away peacefully in her home in Swartz Creek, Michigan, December 5, 2022. She was 94. Pauline was blessed with reasonably good health until her last year on earth. She had been asking the Lord to take her home as she was ready.

Pauline was born in the coal mining town of Glen Lyon, Pennsylvania on October 10, 1928. She was the daughter of Ida and Thomas Antonelli and sister to Oswald (Ozzie). She learned the value of hard work at a young age as she helped her mom take in boarders that were new to the country. While in high school, Pauline worked at a local garment factory, the Engel's Apparel Company. Pauline married her first love, Stanley Robachinski, on June 19, 1948, and just a few years later they moved to Flint, Michigan to work in the automobile industry. Pauline went to work at Turnsted which would become Fisher Body - Coldwater Road. Pauline worked on interior upholstery including sewing seatbelts. She took pride in the quality of her work.

Pauline was an original and active member of St Pius X Church. She was also a member of the Altar Society. The church bake sales benefitted from Pauline's love for baking, her cream puffs and cheesecakes were legendary. Christmas cookies were her labor of love as she prepared dozens and dozens for friends and family every year. Her family was blessed by the love she put into her holiday dinners, and we would laugh as it seems we seldom ate enough to please her.

Pauline especially loved her daughter Paula (who she could never get enough of in her later years) and her three grandchildren who were her pride and joy. Even though Pauline and Stan would head south to Naples, Florida every winter, time with her grandchildren was of primary importance. Her grandchildren were her world as they grew up. She was blessed again when great-grandchildren were added to her family. This brought her new joy in her later years and lots of excitement. She loved being with and cooking for her family.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, brother and husband, two brothers-in-law Raymond and Chester Robachinski, two sisters-in-law Tessie and Lucy Robachinski and many other relatives and close friends. She leaves behind her daughter Paula and son-in-law Tony Aurino, three grandchildren and their spouses; Dominic and Mari, Christy and Brett (Lauber) and Michael and Jordan. Pauline's great grandchildren in order of birth are: Makenna, Lincoln, Marielle, Finley and Jameson. Pauline leaves behind goddaughters Carol Corradi and Michelle Faupel, godson Michael McCollum, nieces Marlene Jurcich, Donna Branco, Peggy McCabe and Vivien Kanyuck and nephew Chester Robachinski and several great nieces and nephews.
Pauline was truly blessed by Sue, Wendy, Tammy, and Candy who were dedicated homecare workers and the Promedica Hospice Group. From the bottom of our heart, we are grateful and so appreciative for the compassion you showed mom. Our prayer is that God will richly bless you as you continue your care for others.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be performed in her hometown of Glen Lyon, PA In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to St Pius X Church on Pauline's behalf.
