TRIPP, JANICE A. “JAN”– Of Pigeon, formerly of Grand Blanc, age 68, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at home.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, with Minister Andrew Brazeal officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm-8:00pm on Tuesday, February 27, 2024 and 1:00pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Jan was born in Flint, Michigan on May 19, 1955, the daughter of the late Aubrey and Dolores (Lascelle) Brazeal. On August 21, 1976 she married Mike Tripp and they celebrated 47 wonderful years together.
Jan and Mike enjoyed traveling and camping. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and the family.
Surviving are husband, Mike Tripp;
son, Ryan (Lacee) Tripp;
grandchildren, Lilli, Eli and Zeke Tripp;
sisters, Debbie Metcalf and Susie (Tim) Grambush;
brother, Bill (Karen) Brazeal;
several nieces and nephews;
and 2 very special friends, Lisa and Chuck Oertel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Dolores Brazeal and brother, Jimmy Brazeal.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jan’s memory are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
