William L. Boggs Sr., 74, a resident of Lapeer, passed away December 12, 2013. He was born in Hayden, KY on January 20, 1939, son of Leonard and Lola Boggs. William loyally served his country in the United States Army from 1959 to 1963. For 23 years William was an Assembly line worker for General Motors Company. For the past 33 years he was known for the love and care that he gave to his nine gracious and amazing foster children that lived with him. William was an avid fisherman and hunter who never let his health get in the way of hunting with his son. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
William is survived by loving wife of 43 years, Cathy; son, William Jr.; sister, Grace Fugate; very special sister-in-law, Jill Brock.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at 11 AM from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Capstick Chapel with Pastor Keith Atwood officiating. Burial at Arcadia Township Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 4-9 PM. Memorial donations to Lapeer New Beginnings Family Church are greatly appreciated.
