HERRIMAN, Thomas – age 85, died peacefully at home on Thursday, April 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Burial in Sunset Hills to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 4PM until 8PM and Tuesday from 10AM until the time of service at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Veteran’s Association.
Thomas was born on November 13, 1940, in Detroit, to the late Francis and Helen (Koch) Herriman. He graduated from Beecher High School and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Spurgeon Baptist Bible College. In 1965, he married the love of his life, Barbara Ashley, and together they shared nearly 61 years of marriage. Thomas dedicated many years to serving as a Baptist pastor, traveling throughout the United States to help build churches and bring communities together through the word of Christ. He was a proud supporter of the Second Amendment and enjoyed staying informed on current events and politics. A man of many talents, Thomas was always willing to lend a helping hand and support those around him. Above all, he cherished time spent with his family, who were the center of his life.
Thomas is forever loved by: Wife, Barbara Herriman; Children: Thomas M. Herriman, Sondra K. Stoltenberg, and David A. (Katy) Herriman; Grandchildren: Christopher (Tracy), Stephen (Ann), Patrick, Emily, Henrik, and Ivan; Great Grandchildren: Olivia and Benjamin; Nephew, Timothy; Nieces: Janice and Ginger; Extended family and wonderful friends. Thomas was preceded in death by: Parents, Francis and Helen; Siblings: Phylis and Jack. |
