Community: Celebration of Life at Edgewood Gardens, Corunna, MI

Pamla Jean Warner, 78, of Byron, Michigan, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Pamla was born on October 25, 1947, in Cadillac, Michigan, to Marlen and Ada Gardner. She graduated from Byron High School and went on to live a life full of kindness, generosity, and adventure. On July 30, 1965, she married Don Warner at the Byron Methodist Church, and together they shared 49 years of marriage.

Known lovingly as "the yes lady," Pamla never said no to anyone in need. Her heart for helping others guided her entire life. She worked for Youth for Understanding, a global nonprofit dedicated to fostering intercultural understanding through student exchange programs, and over the years hosted hundreds of exchange students whom she loved as her own. She also worked for Indian Trails, organizing countless bus trips for her students across the country.

In 1998, Pamla and her daughter Wendi founded Healthy Habitz Health Food Store in Frankenmuth, Michigan. The store became a thriving business and a reflection of her passion for healthy living and community connection. Pamla also volunteered her time to many causes, including LACASA, The Giving Barn, and organizations supporting the homeless.

Pamla was adventurous, kind, accepting, and deeply family-oriented. Her family was her world, she adored her grandchildren, and cherished her time at the family cabin, her sacred place to rest and recharge. She also loved gardening, sewing, canning, traveling, and spending time at the beach.

Pamla is survived by her loving children, Wendi (Jeff) Rawles and Doni (Jody) Warner; her former husband, Don Warner; grandchildren, Caitlin (John) Esper, Carsen Rawles, Cierra Rawles, Audra (Shane) Maschke, Blaine Warner, Jordan (Anthony) Elliott, and Reese Warner; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous exchange children from around the world who became part of her extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marlen and Ada Gardner.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Edgewood Gardens, 3144 E. M-21, Corunna, MI 48817. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family for future designation. Donations will be used to "pay it forward" and help someone in need, continuing Pamla's beautiful legacy of love and generosity.
