BAILIE, Lorraine Maxine (Millen) - Age 81, of Burton, passed away March 22, 2024. Funeral services will be held 1PM Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Glad Tidings Tabernacle, 4475 S. Linden Rd., Flint. Pastor Richard Moore will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to Flint Area Right to Life (FlintRTL.com).
Lorraine was born in Boon, MI, Wexford County on July 25, 1942, the daughter of the late Gladys (Ward) Millen-Tidey and George W. Millen. When she was only 2 years old, her father was killed in the Battle of the Bulge in 1944, and she was raised by her loving step-father, Henry Tidey. She married Robert D. Bailie on June 22, 1968 in Flint. She was a member of Glad Tidings Tabernacle, she loved to fellowship at the Crossroads Church and she served on the board for Flint Area Right to Life for 20 years.
Surviving to cherish her memory are: daughter, Robin (Gary) Welsh; grandchildren, Denae Welsh and Andrew Welsh; half-sister, Peggy Tidey; half-brother, Steven Tidey; sisters-in-law, Inez Millen, Lois Millen, Judith Climer and Prudy Hannigan; brother-in-law, Donald Palmer; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father; husband, Robert D. Bailie; brothers, Rev. Darrel Millen and Leonard Millen; sisters, Pauline Millen-Nolan and Evelyn Millen-Hoadley.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ondrea and Pastor Rex with Heart to Heart Hospice, all of her nurses at Regency at Grand Blanc and Sue Balcomb, who has been her friend for many years and her caregiver for the past four years.
