Gertrude “Trudy” Ruff, was called home on October 15, 2020. Trudy, had one goal in her life, and that was to be with her lord and savior, when her time came. As sad as we are to have lost Trudy, we know that she is now truly happy as her goal has been met. Trudy is now at peace with her Mother and Father, Mary and Herman, as well as her siblings, Kathleen, Suzanne, and Ricky. She leaves behind her sisters Peggy, Paula and her brother Johnny. Trudy loved her nieces and nephews, with her whole heart, and felt just as strongly about her great nieces and nephews. You would often hear her brag about all of them, whether you wanted to or not.
Trudy was a kind hearted soul, who was happy be a friend to everyone. She lived for a social event and a good party (any excuse to have a cigar with the boys). None of us will be surprised, if when our time comes, we are not met by Trudy, the gate greeter.
Please join us to celebrate the life of Trudy Ruff with a funeral Mass 11 a.m. Monday, October 19, 2020 at St. Robert Catholic Church in Flushing. Fr. Anthony Brooks will officiate. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday, October 18 at Rossell Funeral Home and 10 a.m. Monday at church until the time of the mass. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. |
