Most, Joan Thana of Flushing, age 85, died Tuesday, April 28, 2015, at Genesys-Health Park. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, May 1, 2015 at Rossell Funeral Home. Pastor Kenneth Sharp will officiate. Burial will follow at Flushing Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Joan was born in Lapeer, Michigan on April 18, 1930, the daughter of Clayton and Eva (Smith) Graham. She married Ralph Most on June 8, 1951, in Angola, Indiana. She was a loving and devoted wife for 37 years. He preceded her in death on January 26, 1988. Joan loved the Lord, Jesus Christ and served over 15 years of leadership, spiritual guidance and dedicated service to a grief support group. This group became her close and dear friends, whom she loved very much.
Joan made the holidays special for her family with endless hours of decorating, baking and preparing fabulous meals. She will be forever remembered for her delicious apple pies.
Her greatest joy in life was her loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joan loved to sit around the table and play games with her family.
Joan could write such enduring words of love and encouragement to all she knew and loved. We will forever miss her, the best wife, mother, grandmother “GG” and friend...ever!
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Alan and wife Debra Most, Lucille and husband Ronald Schooler, Gail and husband Gil Ross, Diane Most and fiance Charles Southworth, Karen and husband Kenneth Sherman, Clifford and wife Sheila Most, Clayton Most, Carl and wife Linda Most; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother, Robert Graham. |
