BAILEY, Gary Cecil – of Clio, age 79, died Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at his residence. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, May 1, 2026 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio, Michigan. John Bailey officiating. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Memorial contributions can be made to the Charity of Choice.
Gary was born December 25, 1946 in Flint, Michigan to the late Cecil and Lillie (Skaggs) Bailey. He grew up in Flint, Michigan and graduated from Kearsley High School with the class of 1965. Gary proudly served his country in the US Army from 1966 to 1967 in Vietnam. On April 15, 2003 he married Kathy Cautela in Las Vegas, Nevada. Prior to his retirement in 2007, Gary worked in Skilled Trades and was a Truck Driver for GM/Penske with 42 years of service. He was a member of the Auto City Eagles Aerie #3485, American Legion Post #64, and the Moose Lodge #1437. Gary was an avid Harley Davidson rider, who also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the cabin in Boyne City. He loved sports and attending his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. Gary was a farrier who liked taking care of animals and was an avid card player with his friends.
Surviving are: Wife, Kathy Bailey; Children, Tim (Kelli) Bailey, Nicki (Randy) Dellaposta, Stacey (Jason) Hebekeuser; Grandchildren, Cody (Tara) Hebekeuser, Conner (Skyler) Hebekeuser, Lauren (Joe) Swisz, Taylor (Brandon) Maples, Brandon (Mary) Dellaposta, Nolan Carter, Hayden Bailey, Chase Hebekeuser, Carter Hebekeuser; Great Grandchildren, Ian, Lucas, Liam, Ila, Max; Siblings, Delores Wilson, John (Donna) Bailey; several nieces and nephews.
