Jimmy Lloyd Gordon “Craig,” age 88, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026.
He was born on November 5, 1937, in Caruthersville, Missouri, to Orbin Gordon and Josephine (Thomason) Gordon. He was the third of eight children.
In 1954, he moved to Flint, Michigan and in 1962, Craig joined the United States Army where he proudly served his country.
Craig retired from Halo Burger at the age of 73 after an incredible 55 years of serving the Flint community. Beneath Craig’s reserved nature, was a warmth and depth of character that drew people to him. He was not only loved by his family, but also many friends, especially the crew at Timothy’s Pub in Flint.
Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Orbin and Josephine Gordon; his brothers, Billy Gordon and Leonard Gordon; brother-in-law Ronnie Underwood; and sister-in-law Marion Gordon.
He is survived by his sisters, Geneva Sue Coleman, Betty (Bill) Shier, Becky (Martin) Walker, and Peggy Underwood; his brother, Orbin Gordon, Jr. (Hyon); sister-in-law Sandra “Candy” Gordon; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the many people whose lives he touched.
Craig will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 10:00 am.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
